Which wood pellets are best for an industrial boiler?
Both work well. Hardwood pellets are the industry standard in India: 4,000–4,200 kcal/kg at an economical price per tonne, and they suit most industrial boilers. For premium, hassle-free operation, pine wood pellets give 4,000–4,500 kcal/kg with under 2% ash, so cleaning is minimal.
Can wood pellets replace LPG, diesel or furnace oil?
Yes. Most boilers, thermic fluid heaters and furnaces that run on LPG, diesel or furnace oil can switch to wood pellets by fitting a pellet burner in place of the gas or oil burner. Pellets are renewable and usually cost less per unit of heat. See wood pellets vs LPG, diesel and furnace oil.
